Sonar X1 Power! The Comprehensive Guide
Hallo everybody, i'm a owner of Sonar X1 Producer and now i think about to buy this book to become more profound knowledge about mixing and all plugins included in Sonar. Is it a good choice for a beginner in audio like me? Cheers, Tomas

Yes. It is written somewhat more like a tutorial or text book that you will probably find easier to follow than the Sonar Manual. It does not include as much detail as the truly excellent manual, and if you are comfortable with the somewhat terse technical take it or leave it approach of the manual that will be fine. The tutorials section of the manual is also quite easy to follow, so if you have not read through those tutorials, do so. You should be able to get a used copy of that rather old book pretty cheap, and it may be worth the price just to have something you can read if your Kindle is on the fritz.

There is another very good book called "The Power In Cakewalk Sonar" by Bill Edstrom which retails new at around £10. It also includes a DVD to accompany the tutorials. It is very well written and I highly recommend it.

I am not sure what other books you are considering. The SONAR Power! series is very good.

Probably not. While the products are similar, there were a few significant changes such as the switch from layers to take lanes.
