Sonar X1 Power

Scott, just curious if you've had time to checkout X1b yet, and how closely the new book reflects the version you used while writing the book? i.e X1b? Any significant changes from the book to X1b, besides the errata changes via your website? Thanks!

    Hey Robert,

I had already taken into consideration the changes in X1b, but a few minor things didn't make it into the book. Those corrections can be found by going to my site, clicking the SONAR X1 Power! link, and then clicking the Errata link: http://garrigus.com/?PowerBooks

I don't have any more corrections to add at the moment, but if you find something, I have a contact link on the Errata page. So please do let me know if you find an error in the book and I'll add it to the Errata page.

    Thanks!
    Scott

Scott, I just received SX1P from Amazon.com.  You've asked about transit before so: shipped from Kentucky US 14th March arrived Leamington Spa 23rd March.  Pretty good.
What a huge tome this time round!  I'm now going to wrap a wet towel around my head, grab a cup of strong tea and start studying....   ;O)
    Thanks!

    Hey John,

That's not bad timing at all. I'm really glad that Amazon.com ships outside the US. It definitely makes things easier.

Yeah, the book is in a bigger format... hopefully, you'll like it. Now... I'm not sure I want to know... but what's the hot towel for?

    Thanks!

Thanks, Matt! Definitely lots of content in there and I recommend everyone read it cover to cover like a regular book. That's really the only way you'll get the most out of it.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bram,

Ha! Yeah, I know what you mean. Luckily, some of my bookcases have adjustable shelves, so I'll be able to fit it on one of those. You could put it on your desk right next to your keyboard and use it as a mousepad. That way it would always be close at hand and serve more than one function.

    Thanks!

    Hi Everyone...

Those of you waiting for the Kindle version... I've now heard that it should be available sometime around April 8th. That is not a totally solid date yet, but I figured you might like to know. I'll keep you informed and keep my website updated.

    Thanks!

    Hi Scott:

I bought it yesterday from Amazon. The price, then, was $28 and some cents. Now, it's $39 and some cents. Glad I caught the discount. hehe

That Look Inside feature is a good touch, but, hey, "Look Inside?" We don't need no stinking Look Inside (badges)! :)

I know the book is gonna be a good read and useful reference, as usual.

    Cya around. :)

Ah, $31.49. Could of sworn I saw $39 something. It's good you cleared that up. :)

Yep, $31 is definitely better than $39.

    Australia/New Zealand users:

Amazon.co.uk has free shipping to AUS and NZ (and perhaps other countries).  Even with the exchange rate, it's cheaper to order it from there instead of from Amazon.com, and the shipping is faster.
