Sonar X1 Producer and BFD3

Hi, I am using drag and drop to install drum files from my Browser (Sonar X1 Producer) into my BFD3 Midi track. I find some of the drum events are against the wrong drum parts. I need to move the events manually but guess there must be a better way. I don't remember having this problem with BFD 1.5

Would appreciate any help.JCB

Depends on the MIDI file and key map selected in BFD3. BFD3 ships with a variety of key maps including one for BFD 1.5. Look in the File menu on the BFD UI.

If these are drum loops that came with sonar I'm guessing they'll most likely be general midi so I would try loading the general midi map in BFD3.

Go to either the, 'keymap' tab or the 'Auto' tab in BFD3 and click on, 'file' and choose, 'load key map' from the list.

If that doesn't work you could also try creating a new keymap by going to the, 'keymap' tab. BFD3 has about the easiest and quickest keymap creation method I've used. You will of course find that the BFD3 kits have many more articulations than you will find in the general midi format.
