Sonar X1 Producer won't launch after installing

Hi!  I just installed 64-bit Sonar X1 Producer on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  It seemed to install fine.  At the end of the installation, I left the box checked so Sonar would launch.  A dialog appeared saying it was scanning files and then the splash screen appeared but nothing else happened.  The Sonar program shows up in Task Manager in the list of running processes but not in the list of running programs.

I've tried rebooting the machine, but that didn't help.  I also uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but that didn't help.

What should I try next?  Does Sonar keep any kind of log to track issues like this?

Thanks!

Don

Aside from Win7 64-bit, what are the rest of the laptop's specs?

Have you tried installing, and then launching from the Start menu?

    Computer: 2.5 GHz Core2Quad, 6GB, Windows 7 Home Premium, Sonar X1d, Edirol UA-25
Instruments: Carvin 5-string bass, Ovation Acoustic, Parker P-38, Baldwin DG100 keyboard, Vito alto sax
    Toys: POD 2.0, Zoom RFX-1000

It's a Dell XPS 15.  Intel i7-2720QM @ 2.20 GHz quad core with 8.00 GB RAM and a 500 GB drive.  It's running Windows 7.1 Ultimate Service Pack 1.  Realtek High Definition Audio/Waves MaxxAudio 3.  Intel HD Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M.

    I'm using a Line 6 TonePort UX1.

After Sonar wouldn't launch last night after several attempts and reboots, I turned off the system.  Tonight, when I restarted the system and tried to launch Sonar from the Start menu, it launched just fine.  Success!

The only thing different is that I didn't have my Toshiba dynadock 3 plugged in when I started Sonar.  dynadock is a docking hub with video and sound of its own for driving external monitors, etc.  I don't have time to play around with it tonight to see if it was causing the problem, but I'll do some tests this weekend and reply back if I can reproduce the issue.

Anyway, thanks for your help!  Everything seems to be working fine now, so I can start playing...
