Sonar X1 build 425 will not install X1d patch.

I'm at a loss here. I've read the install instructions and I'm at build 425 which says that's what it is suppose to be at. BUT I get the message  "Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system" error. Is there something else I should be doing?

I can't recall exactly the update steps.. is there a serial number asked somewhere ? If there is, you have to supply the Expanded serial number, not the original X1 Pro serial.

What are the steps for you to reach build 425 ?

Well I followed the install instructions to the T. I was at sonar producer x1 with no patches and followed the install instructions to the letter to get to expanded and now I'm stuck with this message.

I've been updating my X1 since patch A,B,C and D, with some quick fixes in between, so my upgrade path differs from yours.

Some previous posting may have some solution.. I've seen quite a few of these messages in the forum.

I get the message  "Cannot locate the required version of the program on this system" error. Is there something else I should be doing?
I'm having (or had) a similar problem that came subsequent to uninstalling X1 and attempting to install everything over again.  There are some other threads that specified some registry modifications that needed to be done prior to a reinstall, and I did those, but ran into the error message either on the X1c or the X1 expanded install, I can't recall which.  I never could get the program to reinstall and had to take the drastic action of installing a second Windows 7 on my computer and dual booting into that.  X1 installed no problem, from one upgrade to the next in the clean install of Windows so I assume there was something in the registry or elsewhere that was causing the problem.

Make sure if you're trying to patch Sonar X1 Studio that you download the patch for Sonar X1 Studio and not for Producer or Essentials.

If you followed the instructions to a T then I reckon it's time for you to contact tech support.
Without knowing specifically what it is that you did there's little chance we can do any more than suggest you go over the procedure till you find where it went wrong.

Have you disabled your AVs and other security software? Sometimes that will cause problems installing drivers and updates for some things (I mean in general... not necessarily X1 but I disabled everything before installing initially and when I installed the d patch). Obviously remove the computer from the internet when doing this.
