Sonar X1 crashes when switching to ASIO driver mode

When switching from MME to ASIO, SONAR X1 crashes.  Windows 7 returns the error code:
"SONARDPR.exe has stopped working".  The only option available is to close program.  I have applied both patches.  Windows 7 64 bit, SONARX1 64 bit.

If you're using MME it's most likely you're using onboard sound in which case ASIO is not available. That would explain the crashing.

Get a sound card for your computer. Onboard sound is OK for playing MP3 and media player stuff and some games but not for use with a DAW. (Digital Audio Workstation)

I am using a GNX4 Digitech for my soundcard

Was working until I selected the ASIO mode
It still works in Sonar however when I go to OPTIONS>AUDIO to mess with the settings sonar crashes?

Any way to get back to normal?
    Out of ASIO mode?

The Sonar program is otherwise useless now?

    I just wanna play man

    ARK47:

If all you have is the onboard sound, you can go download and install the ASIO4ALL driver, to use SONAR in ASIO driver mode until you get a better audio interface.

    Siforus:

Delete the Aud.ini and when you open SONAR again, it will be like when you first opened it. With SONAR closed, search your computer for "AUD.ini" without the quotes and delete it. Open SONAR. That should do it.

Maybe it's because MME is 32 bit.
