Sonar X1 midi problem

When I import midi tracks I made with guitar pro 5 into Sonar, the synth stop working when I hit play. If I don't hit play, I can still hear the playback when I edit the piano roll and play with my midi controller, but no sound when I hit play and after my midi controller stop working, unless I reload the synth. I'm using Dimension Pro btw. What is wrong?

    When you import the MIDI to a track do you then set the output to a synth?
