Sonar X1B Producer & Digi003 Rack+

Dear all,
I recently upgraded to Sonar X1B and I learning its new features very quick :) However, I've got a little problem with my Digi003 Rack+. It's cabled via firewire and is working ok, even at low buffer setting (64), ideal for real time monitoring while recording with ASIO drivers. The fact is that the positioning bar (vertical) is stopping after a few seconds when I hit record, but even as the positioning bar is stopping, Sonar keeps on recording the different tracks, fortunately. But it's kind of disturbing when watching at the screens and it seems like it's frozen. Is there anyone on this board encountering this problem? It seems to me that there is an incompatibilty between Sonar and Avid's ASIO drivers. In PT8 LE the device is working fine, but I mainly use Sonar for recording and mixing. Does anyone know a workaround to this problem?
I am looking forward to your replies.
Best regards from the tiny Luxembourg.

    Hi there,
Is it possible that the ASIO driver from Avid is causing these problems. If so, I will query on the DUC (Digi User Community).
    Best regards.

FWIW, The Digi ASIO driver is known to be flakey.
ie:  It has issues with using multiple CPU cores...

    Hello Jim,
Thank you for your answer even though it doesn't please to me I really hope that avid's programmers get this thing right because I really like working with this interface, even if a lot of people don't like it... Sure there are many other good and better interfaces, but I don't wanna spend €€€€s again
Maybe anybody knows a workaround or can send me a link to working drivers, even if they are older. My platform is W7 pro, i5 cpu, 8 Gb RAM, TI firewire chipset, 1 system and 1 audio HD.
I am looking forward to any response.
    Best regards.

PS : can somebody tell me what FWIW means as I do not know this abbreviation
