Sonar X2 / Copying a Clip Using Ctrl+Click and Drag Has Unexpected Results

Hello Friends!

In Sonar X2, when I try to copy a Midi clip using the Ctrl key, I'm unable to drag it into an exisitng Midi track. It always forces the creation of a new Midi track.  Even when I try to drag the copied clip into the intended destination, it just snaps back to the newly created Midi track.  Is there a setting on the Preferences menu that I have set incorrectly? I verified that the edit setting is blend old with new. Help!

Peace!
Daniel

I was able to do this successfully last night, so I'm not sure why you're having a problem. Is it possible that your intended destination track for the MIDI clip is a frozen or archived synth? Make sure that the destination track is unfrozen and/or unarchived. For that matter (this is a real stretch and is probably paranoid) make sure that the destination track isn't muted.

I just do a copy and paste and never have any trouble that way.
