Sonar X2, Diva(Automap), & SL MK 2 giving me fits!! Automation HELP

So here's the scenario:
 
1) I drop in a synth
2) Set synth to automation write enabled on the synth gui & the track view
3) Write automation with my SL MK2 for synth cutoff filter
4) After a couple of takes I don't like, I decide to erase all the nodes and delete all the envelopes.
5) Now when loop restarts, cutoff filter jumps to a different value at start, regardless if I manually set it to something else prior to the playback as if there's an envelope still controlling the cutoff, even though no envelope is present.  Regardless of the automated Red parameter being checked or not, the cutoff knob will jump....truly ghost in the machine type crap!!
6) I can make an adjustment during playback and the cutoff goes to the value set by my controller, however if I click on any of the track view parameters i.e. volume control during this time, it will immediately cause my cutoff filter to jump to another value.  Its the same value all the time.....125.93.  
7) I thought my synth was corrupted or something, so I deleted it and inserted a new one and the problem went away, until I tried to perform my automation task and the problem returns.

My initial thoughts on this:

1. Are you sure that you are only adjusting one parameter on this plugin? Have you checked any of the other parameters to make sure that you have not accidentally written data somewhere else?
2. Can you check your events list to see if you have any controller 121 messages.  This message will reset all controllers back to their defaults.
