Sonar X2 Fade in option?

Sonar X2 Fade in option?

Ok i have recorded my audio track that i want to fade in and dragged the crossfader accross my track but it does fade in from quiet slowly and it is still quite loud? I have also tried all the crossfade types.

    Here is a thread about fade out which covers using clip fades and volume envelops http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3057995 in a product based on X2. A volume envelop may work best in this situation.

    There are three different fade curves. Hover the mouse over the fade's maximum level until you see a red triangle, like what you see when you want to drag the end or beginning of the fade. Right-click, and you can choose from the three types of fades:
