Some of the features from Expanded are in this version like you may already notice. Some will be in Studio while the rest in Producer. So some of these features are redundant but makes a lot of sense to include them. My guess is that it will cost $99 for the Producer upgrade since it has more features than Expanded which cost $49. I don't see it being worth $179 but then again, they threw in Rmix to perhaps justify a price increase. My suggestion to them is to keep it at $99 and run a $49 promotion for the first 10 days.

xabiton djjhart@aol.com Your welcome guys .. I like that i see there doing gapless audio .. what is gapless audio and why is it so important? Gapless audio can mean a few things , for me gapless would mean , playing the track and flipping through a few presets in a Vsti without having your audio hiccup for a split second, it means what ever you do while playing back you never hear a gap in audio play back. Your audio just plays back flawless, regardless if you add an effect in real time, or scroll through presets ,audio files ect. There would be no more having to start your track from the begining over and over because you have a long sustained note that's attached to an arp file ect..

You know I would love to have that in X1... That's exactly what bothers me all the time. I've used some of the other daws out there and they don't do hiccups like that. Anyways, I really hope they've fixed the terrible midi editing and audio engine..

"Anyways, I really hope they've fixed the terrible midi editing and audio engine.." I have not had an issue with Sonar's audio engine. As for the "terrible" MIDI editing that seems a bit strange. I think its very good. Always has been. In many ways its far better and easier than in other DAWs. Now if CW wants to improve the audio engine I wont complain or stop anyone from benefiting from it. Its just not an issue with me. But you just labeled the MIDI editing as terrible without giving an example or any details. Sort of a very broad statement don't you think?
