Sonar X2 Producer Crashes in Piano Roll View

When I try to access the piano roll view in X2 Producer it crashes.  It will either crash immediately or crash when I try to edit some midi information from that view.  I also copied a single midi track that I was trying to edit into a new project with just that track.  It crashes just the same.  Anyone have any ideas?

I have Sonar X2 Producer installed on a Toshiba P50 Laptop.  The laptop has 8Gb of RAM and an  Intel i7 Core processor.  The operating system is Windows 8.

What are your audio settings? Any open plugins? Is the problem persists with other projects?

You (the OP) also need to clarify what you mean by saying "it crashes".

This doesn't provide nearly enough information to start a diagnostic routine, so please, be a little more expliciti.
