Sonar X2 Producer Trial has massive pops and clicks

Hi,
Installed Sonar X2 Producer trial, and the sound is terrible.   I have Sonar Home Studio 7 installed and it runs great with no sound issues whatsoever.   The X2 though has a sound almost like a clipping pop but is at a regular interval almost like it's matching the timing clock.

I have tried recording at different levels as the project I imported had pretty hot levels.   Even when peaking at -4dB the popping is still present.

Has anyone else had this issue?   Any suggestions?

post your computer, audio interface and the project specs you are using. Have you reprofiled your audio card? Buffer settings are the top of the list when these things happen usually. Sometime fragmented drives will also cause this.

Post your specs and then let the games begin!

This is because you need to configure your audio sound card's driver settings. Adjust your ASIO or WDM driver settigns. This will fix your issue

the x3 demo is apparently coming soon, probably worth waiting for that than wrestling with X2

no, If you are interested in SONAR, you better get going with X2, if you can, to get used to the GUI and workflow.

There must be a problem with the Producer Trial download as my X2 DAW works perfectly with my Windows 7 (64-bit).

Doubtful - its more likely a system/setting issue with OP's setup.  The differences between the trial and the real deal are negligible with respect to performance.  If they weren't the trial would be useful.
