Sonar X2, Trouble with Triggering a gated reverb [SOLVED] :)

****UPDATE**** [ I feel so blind, but I had the gate before the verb, when it should have been after. Learning a Daw without a Sensei can be daunting, but practice makes perfect; and trying new things is good :) ]

I have spent two days searching forums and I am not finding the correct process for triggering a gated reverb via side chain. All of the Youtube videos I have watched do not seem to translate to sonar x2.
 
I have X2 producer, I am using the sonitus Gate before a reverb plugin on a bus with the output set to my drum bus. On my snare track I have created a send to the sonitus gate. Unfortunately nothing is happening. The meters on the reverb bus don't move no matter what settings I am using on the sonitus.
 
I'm borderline loosing it, because it shouldn't be this hard. Hell I can side chain trigger audio samples like sine waves and pink noise, but I cannot for the life of me trigger a gated reverb effect.
 
Anyone out there who has succeslly achieved this technique in Sonar X2, please please please help me.
