Sonar X2 and MCU Pro - rec buttons

Hi folks,

I love the sonar X2! However, i'm having some problems with my MCU Pro + X2...

It seems that the rec buttons in MCU pro don't work when using to arm single instrumental tracks in sonar x2... is anyone here with the same problem???

best regards.

It could be a simple instrument track problem. If you expand it to MIDI and audio tracks the record button should work.

Ok... thanks John! i'll try it.
    Is it a X2 bug?
I've never had this issue with sonar 8.5 and mcu...

Yes, same issue here.  I'm using a Mackie d8b console with the BluAudio D8Bridge v1.1 MCU emulation software.  Rec enable doesn't work to arm simple instrument tracks.  It does work on MIDI tracks and audio tracks.

There seem to be a few issues with the X2 MCU implementation discussed elsewhere on this forum.  I'm hoping for a bullet-proof, fully up-to-spec MCU implementation in X2b.

I'd be curious to know - do your MCU SELECT buttons work properly on X2/X2a?

I thought this was fixed in X2a. Perhaps not though. So yes it was/is a bug.

Thanks, FBB.  This fix status may be true for X2a, I don't know.  I'm still on X2 without the X2a patch, so I can't report on the X2a MCU REC button behavior for simple instrument tracks on my rig.  I can only confirm the MCU REC button behavior for X2.  Maybe this weekend I'll get X2a installed and check this out.

No worries. I wasn't sure as I don't often use SITs but I did remember seeing it in the "fixed" list.

I had the same issue last month and it was FBB (Thanks again Karl!) that pointed me to the correction. The REC lights on the individual channels would not illuminate on my MCUPro. Installing the X2-a patch corrected this - no issues since that patch install Best Regards to All, Bill- CHO, Va. (edited for formatting-ugh!:)
