Sonar X2 and Roland GAIA arpeggiator problem
Hi everybody,
I have purchased Roland GAIA for my home studio and am trying to control it via Sonar X2. After installing the Instrument Definition file the connection has been established without any problem. It seems that through Sonar X2 I am able to play all the GAIA presets BUT all the presets that feature GAIA's arpeggiator do not perform correctly. When I play any key on the synthesizer the arpeggiator starts but only plays its first pattern and then stops. Normal procedure calls for holding the note and the arpeggiator should play forever (as long as you hold the key). This is not the case. Something is stopping the arpeggiator to perform correctly and I don't know what it is.
When I shut down the Sonar X2, and then play a key on GAIA (playing GAIA by itself) the arpeggiator performs correctly. As long as I hold the key the arps are going forever.
is there some kind of setting within Sonar X2 that needs to be tweaked so when I hold the key on GAIA the arpeggiator plays the arps as it does when Sonar X2 is not engaged ? I have never experienced anything like that with any hardware synth in my arsenal (Korg Triton Pro Rack, Alesis QS8, Yamaha CS6x, or Novation Supernova 2).
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
