Sonar X2 to Sonar Professional Questions

I see no need for me to jump to the platinum purchase, all of the plugins I would want I already have when I bought X2 producer, and that leads me to my main question.
As I already have X2 Producer, if I purchase Professional will the pro-channel modules (the compressors and console emulator mainly) work in the new version of professional as they are not automatically included? It is not a MASSIVE issue if they don't but it seems unfair to have purchased something in the past which would no longer work.

Thanks guys.

Sonar Professional? I though Producer, at X1 and X2 were the highest version available...

    edit...

Ah... just realised what you mean... I should have checked the latest versions of the current software.

The answer to your question would be a yes, surely?

As I understand it the main difference between S-Plat and Professional is the toy count and that there is no fly-out EQ in the pro channel.  But any previously purchased Pro Channel modules should work within Professional.

I would not remove X2 Producer from your machine or if you need to for space do a selecting un-install only removing the core and not the extras like R-Mix, V-Vocal, Th2 etc.

    Thanks Wookie,
Yeah that is what I thought. The professional pack is really good value, the extras that you get in the platinum (other than the pro channel modules) are not something I would ever use, I only use a few select VSTis anyway. Thanks for the help, I may just purchase.

I vote for Professional as being the best bang for your buck as an upgrade. And X2 was deemed to be way less stable then the X3 and the 2015 versions. It's good to keep up to date for the small price it costs.

Don't remove the core Sonar X2 program as you will lose VVocal.

Thanks for the help guys. I've now upgraded to professional.
I've had to download everything from Cakewalk again and reinstall as I had a hard drive drop (thankfully a programme drive and no documents / audio etc). So I'm mid way through installing all my programmes again, I'll let you all know how it goes etc.
    Thanks for the support.
