Sonar X2 updates

Are there rumours of a Sonar X3 or something? Cuz I'm just starting to build my studio and the worst thing that could happen is seeing X3 when I come home with my X2 (essentials,by the way). 

And also do the updates costs money? (If there will be any that is)
I mean like as long as I use X2 essentials, will updates regarding that be free? (Not upgrades, updates)

    Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    Not that I've heard. Historically there are several official 'Patches' released before they move on to a new version. So far we are only 1 patch in to X2. We're currently at X2A. X1 went all the way to X1D.

    The updates within a version, for example, X2A, X2B, X2C ... etc., are free. When it comes time to 'upgrade' from X2 Essentials to X3 Essentials there will be an upgrade charge.
