Sonar X2 with Windows 8 audio drivers

I was having a blast with X2 until I installed it on a Windows 8 RTM CPU with a Roland UA-25 EX box. The only audio mode that worked was MME32. The Windows 7 64 driver from Roland does not support Advanced Mode with ASIO on the UA-25 EX. There is a workaround from Microsoft Answers - remove the Win 7 driver and install the Vista 64 driver in compatibility mode. It works like a charm. Of course, switching bit rates and sampling on the UA-25 EX is all mechanical - with flipping switches and either a reboot or USB unplug-wait-and-plugin. Hopefully, Roland will update their drivers. Noel's blog on Windows 8 suggests Win7 drivers are compatible. It appears not. Anyone else have an audio card problem with Windows 8 and Sonar?
