Sonar X2 won't recognize Lexicon Interface Alpha ASIO driver when running X2 in ASIO mode

I bought a new Lexicon Alpha USB Interface yesterday, but Sonar X2 will not recognize Lexicon Alpha ASIO driver when running X2 in ASIO mode.  I called Lexicon tech support and they told me to ask the following question....

How do i delete Sonar X2 preferences file (and where is the location of it) so that Sonar X2 will re-scan all ASIO drivers when launched?

Lexicon Alpha ASIO drivers have been verified to work on my system with Steinberg Cubase 5.

Make sure Windows has the Lexicon listed in the Windows Device Manager.

In Preferences-Audio-Devices, you should have the Lexicon selected for Input and Output. Make sure you deselect any devices other than the Lexicon. You can only use one audio device at a time in ASIO mode.

My buddy bought one and we could not get the "ASIO" drivers to work. After some trial and error we got it to work with "MME". Seems to be working just fine.

MME is really not an option in win 7 / 8 if you want to overdub.
but I can understand why you did that, it was XP :)
    different monster.

I suggest to the op that when buying a soundcard even if its a cheapo do some research and take your time, its worth the time because the headache you will receive buying little crappy ones for 50 a pop will drive you nuts.

im not even sure the lexicon even has ASIO drivers, cant find enough info on it but I did see some reviews and they were horrible.

the ones that were good were people not using it for things like sonar or Cubase, digital audio recording.
