Sonar X3 Producer Crashing at Opening

I have Sonar X3e Producer installed on an I3 Dell computer with 6 GB Ram.  It's worked fine for several years but after recently installing Windows 10 and updates it crashes every time I attempt to start and I get the error message SONARPDR.EXE has stopped working. I also have X2 Producer and 8.3 Producer installed on the same computer so I tried both of them.  With X2 I get the same error but 8.3 works fine. I uninstalled both X2 and X3 and did a re-install of X3 but it's still crashing.  All software is 64 bit and I'm using a Focusrite 2i2 for my soundcard. I did reinstall the latest 2i2 driver and performed a windows update but it made no difference.  I'm insure what to try next. Any ideas?

Hi. Did you do an upgrade or a fresh install of Win10? I had some driver / reactivation issues on my laptop when I upgraded to Win10. Had no issues with SONAR itself, but needed to update some drivers, and reactivate a couple of soft synth. Have you tried to open SONAR while holding down Ctrl & Shift? It should reconfigure your audio settings. It might be worth a try.
    All the best.

Well that didn't work I got the dialog box about settings but then right as the Sonar splash screen came up the program crashed.

Have you checked over at the Focusrite forum, to see if there might be any issues with the latest Win 10 update?
If there are none, I would contact Cakewalk support.
    All the best.

If everything (O.S., X3, Focusrite 2i2) is already patched with the latest updates , then I would do the following:

A clean uninstall of X3 (including folders and registry entries):

    https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013372/Clean-Install-All-Cakewalk-Software

Reinstall X3 using "Run as Administrator", then install the final X3e update the same way.  Reboot.

If no change, do a reinstall of the Focusrite drivers (Run as Admin) as well.

Well, I tried performing a clean install in accordance with the instructions from Cakewalk, reinstalled the Focusrite 2i2 driver and tried running the program as administrator but Sonar still crashes immediately after it begins to start with same message. Not really sure where to go at this point. I use the 2i2 as my soundcard and it works fine with every other program I have on my computer and I'm not having any other problems with other programs. I do have X3 also installed on my laptop and it works fine so not sure what this could be.

You could look in the Windows event logs for a clue. If it were my issue, I call support next week.

Solved!! After much teeth mashing and installing/uninstalling it appears the problem was caused by an out of date Fender Universal ASIO driver used by my Fender Mustang III amp. After updating the driver Sonar X3 now works fine.  Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and assistance.
