Sonar X3 and the Behringer X32 digital console

I just recently acquired this awesome board, but Sonar X2 (and probably all Sonar versions) would not communicate with the console via midi for DAW control in either direction at all. Behringer said that Sonar was the only DAW not to work with their console. Both Cakewalk and Behringer have known about this for a long time and yet nothings been addressed.
Has Sonar X3 fixed this? If anyone knows, please post. I'll most likely upgrade soon so I'll follow up. The Behringer X32 is probably the finest board anywhere in it's price range for a digital console and why those two companies can't get it together is beyond me.

    Update:
OK, the reason I couldn't get it to work as described is because I didn't have the "Remote Button" enabled in the REMOTE SETUP page, then push the button on the far left.
So I did get it to work, although no communication back to the board).
    On the X32:
SETUP using MIDI CC Protocol, MIDI I/O Interface, MIDI In/Out checked, Remote button enabled, Remote button pushed on far left of console,
    In Sonar:
Right click on a fader in Sonar, click REMOTE CONTROL, then LEARN while moving the fader on the X32.
You can set up the first 8 tracks for midi control of Sonar that way.
You can also get the mute and solo buttons to control Sonar.
Only 8 tracks so far with no panning control, but it's better than nothing.
