Sonar X3 crash when deleting bus
I noticed a weird "bug" the other day. I had added a stereo bus to hold a reverb and noticed I wasn't able to route the output to my "FX Master" bus, which was a bus I had previously created. That wasn't listed as a choice, even though it was listed as a choice in other channels and busses. When I tried to delete the new bus, Sonar crashed. Even after updating Windows 8.1, rebooting, resaving the Sonar project, etc. this seems to be a problem, at least with this particual file. Perhaps something got corrupted. I was able to ad another bus that worked correctly and just renamed the problem bus "dud". I got rid of any sends to it, deleted the plugins, settings, etc. from "dud", but I was never able to delete that bus without a crash. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Its 100 corruption, I get this from time to time. Just hide the Bus and ignore it.

I am just thinking it makes sense to port things over to a nice new project, in case whatever potential instability is in the current one end up adding to problems with working with the project. CERTAINLY a good time for a backup of the whole folder, methinks. Bob Bone

I wonder if you could select everything except the 'bad' bus, then create a project template that had all other things present, to cut down time needed to get it out of the project. My thinking is then that whatever could be contained in a project template would load up nicely during creation of a new project, using the newly-created project template. Please note that I do not know if the above is as foolproof as it may sound, as it would depend entirely on what sort of corruption might be present in the original. In other words, whatever was awry in the original might still get ported over to the template, possibly. Anyways, a pre-coffee thought - good luck in any case. Bob Bone
