Sonar X3 live mixing stability

Hi all,

I'm currently doing some tests do check out if Sonar X3 is viable & reliable for live mixing a whole event. This event mainly consists of speeches but has some contributions like a grand piano solo,  a choir and a rock band in between.

First of all, if you have done something similar before, what is your expierence doing this? Are there any special options to increase the stability? E.g. playback settings, configuration file, MMCSS profile optimization, special software / hardware settings?

So far, I'm pretty happy with the results. I can simultaneously work with 12 tracks, each with 5+ VSTs, ASIO latency is 3 - 8 ms (3 with lowest buffer size, but I'll take the next higher step to be on the safe side). But I'm still afraid of the unpleasing "audio enginge has stopped working" message.

Equipment:
i7 3930K (6x4.00GHz), 32 GB RAM, working with a Alesis MultiMix Firewire,
Win7 Pro, Sonar X3, VLC Player (music insertion during contributions), VNC Server (for remote control)

Thanks!
