Sonar X3 suddenly died... Help!! (solved)

5 days ago Sonar worked fine, now it doesn't work at all.

New projects don't finish loading, i.e., all tracks stay "busy" and audio never finishes loading.

Older projects play but with no audio.

What OS you using? What soundcard?

I apologise if it's in your sig, but I am on my phone and sigs don't show on mobile site.

Looks like something is a bit funky with your audio card or the audio card drivers.  Does the card show up correctly in device manager?

What I would try is head over to the Lynx website and see if there are more recent drivers for the Lynx Aurora 16 AES16e card.

    Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .

    CPU: i5 4670.
    Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

    Internet always on.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
The card showed up correctly in the device manager but was still outdated.
I had to install build 23b (my card was still build 21) and then install the new firmware.

2 bonuses right away: 1) top latency buffer had been 1024 which was maxed out with automation and exotic plugins (which I don't use that much of, but still...) and is now... WHOA! 8192!

    2) The mystery is solved from another thread in which everyone had been stumped. I had been unable to save buffer settings; evey time I'd open a project, it had automatically defaulted to 256. Now settings are saved.

    Cheers,
     Jon
