Sonar & Rapture Pro -- RP Not Retaining "Favorites"

I posted this over in the Instruments section but am not getting any traction  so I figured I'd try here as well:
 
The first time I used Rapture Pro, late last week, I saved a few patches/instruments as "Favorites", and they show up fine in the Favorites tab.  Over the weekend I went through a lot of sounds, marking more as Favorites.  When I opened the plug-in later the original group of Favorites were still there but none of the newly added ones.
 
I then experimented, clicking the Favorites "star" on a couple of instruments, and noticed a few odd things:
 
1.  Clicking on a star and then going to the Favorites tab, the instrument (and its group name) would be there but the text/font would be light grey-ish.  If I then clicked on another instrument the newly-added Favorite changed to bright white, like the others.
 
2.  When I closed the plug-in and opened it again, the newly-added Favorites were gone, again.
 
I repeated this several times -- RP simply is not "holding" Favorites.
 
Any ideas?  (Sonar is updated through Kingston, if that helps)
