Sonar and Mackie Onyx 1220i driver

I run all my sound through an Onyx 1220i board (PC, Windows 10). I've installed the Mackie driver from their website and all works well in Windows and Sonar....Except.

Whenever I run Sonar, after I exit, I have no PC sound and have to re-install the Onyx 1220i driver and re-boot. Then all is well again. Until I run Sonar again.

I've looked through the Sonar audio properties and have tried all I know.
Does anyone have any clue to what I can do to prevent this?

Thanks
Jim V.

Hi. It sounds like your drivers does not let go when you close SONAR. Is everything up to date? Drivers, Windows, SONAR etc. Do you have share drivers with other programs checked in Preferences (P), Audio, Playback and Recording? Have you checked Task Manager to see if SONAR is still active / hanging on to your drivers?
    Best of luck.
