Sonar and Ogun

Has anyone else had this issue? Was there an answer?

I've been using IL Ogun for quite a while in Sonar Platinum on a PC running Win10 64 bit with no issues, but I noticed yesterday that for some reason, Ogun is showing up as a VST in demo mode and does not appear registered to me at all. Thankfully, my account on Image Line works just fine, so I DLed the app and regcode file and reinstalled, but to no avail: it still shows up as a demo. IL Drumaxx has no issues at all and appears registered to me.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on? I'll also mention that I have both Norton 360 and Malwarebytes on the computer. I have no reason to suspect that these might be causing the issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Sounds like maybe a Windows Corrupt-Date may have clobbered your registration.
Seen it with Addictive drums and keys. Best contact Image Line or get on their forum if
they have one. I'll bet you're not alone.

Thanks, Bitman. I've done both of your suggestions already with contacting the customer service and forum, but since it was Friday night I found the issue, yours is actually the first comment I've had back. And I'm sure I'm not the first with this issue (especially with Ogun). There are various similar questions I've seen, but no solid answers (yet).

Can someone help me with this much: where exactly (if anywhere) on Ogun is A) the word(s) identifying a trial edition as a demo OR B) where exactly is the name of the owner who purchased Ogun? If I had this bit of info, I might be able to more adequately determine what type of problem (if any) I'm experiencing.

    Thanks in advance!

I thought I'd let you know the upshot to my issue with Ogun and Sonar.

First, I'm pretty sure that this is a very small Sonar issue and not an Ogun issue, per se. Up until the October update, Ogun showed up in the Synth Rack VST list without the word "demo". After the update, "demo" showed up after the name. That's why I included it here rather than posting it in "Software".

Second, there is an answer (sort of). I uninstalled and reinstalled Ogun and my other Image Line synths (less than ten minutes for the whole process, I think) and uninstalled my regfile (there is a tool on the FL site to "unwrite" the necessary lines from registry). Before rerunning the the regfile, I checked Ogun (which at that point still WAS a demo as I had not rerun the regfile) and noted the differences in the GUI so I'd be able to tell when the full version was installed. There was indeed text on the GUI identifying Ogun as a demo at this point. I then reinstalled my regfile, closed down Sonar and restarted my computer. When I reopened Sonar, though I noted that Ogun was still identified as a "demo" in Synth Rack VST list, I noticed that the Ogun GUI itself did not have the text identifying Ogun as a demo. The demo scratchy static noises do not occur either, so although Sonar seems to "think" there is only a demo installed, it does appear to be the full version from all other indicators.

Offered in the spirit of FWIW.

BTW, I forgot to mention that I removed the word "demo" via Plug-in Manager's VST Configuration Plug-in Properties button.

Again, offered in the spirit of FWIW.
