Sonar and Skype

I am trying to get Sonar and Skype to play nice together but no love so far. Skype steals the ASIO drivers each time it opens from Sonar. I am using a Presonus 44 VSL if that helps.

Skype is set up to use your computers mike or mike jack.. In other words, Skype will not recognize a USB or Firewire interface, only your computers audio system.
I do know if you use a PCI audio card , like a Soundblaster, it will recognize that because I used to use one . I then used a proper mike and headphones. But USB,, don't think so.

Try switching SONAR over to WDM/KS.

In my old setup I used my Line6 UX2 with Skype.  I don't remember having any problems with it.

Skype is DEFINITELY using my USB interface! As soon as I open Skype, it steals the interface away from Sonar and Sonar cannot share the drivers for some reason. All the sounds from Skype start coming through the PA rather than the laptop speakers. ARGH!
