Sonar based Custom DAW on Asus Builder’s competition
Hey Guys! Please, check out my custom built Sonar recording system! I need your support to vote for this system on Asus builder’s competition. Some very interesting artistically- decorated builds are featured there, but I believe- functionality should come first. I don’t think the effort that is put in to maintaining the DAW with multiple software synths (shown in my entry) can be fully appreciated by the builders’ community. I like the esthetics of the “Doll House” build, but I believe- we investing much more time in to assuring stable performance of our systems and the art of it is underestimated. Please, support your fellow Sonar user and computer enthusiast with your votes! (5 voters will be selected to receive Asus Golden series motherboards). To enter Competition’s Main Page, please, go here: http://www.asus.com/micro...sh_promotion/Home.aspxTo vote for my build, please, go here: http://www.asus.com/micro...motion/Build.aspx?p=38 Thank you for your continuous support!

I tried to vote but it wanted me to log in and that ended the journey for me. I like some asus products but they have the worst customer service. Good luck!

You can log in with Yahoo or Facebook account, also registration is easy and I get no span from Asus at all. Once in a while some product articles. You need to register to get your free motherboard! Actually- Asus tech support is one of the best. They support whole systems and even individual parts and it is free phone, chat and e-mail support. They open weekends and holidays. The technicians are not always experienced, but that happens with any company. At least- they are available and willing to help. Thank you for your effort and support.

ok. I will go back and vote. I guess user experience will vary. They have been horrible literally every time I have called. I bought a very expensive limited edition computer from them and got no support at all.

I would think- you already have Asus account then. I always say- they should better train the tech support staff- it is a face of the company. But then again- the more I know- the farther behind some tech support reps are left. I have seen very ignorant tech support individuals. With Dell systems you have to ask for "2nd level" tech support- may be the same applies to Asus whole systems. I was talking to motherboards techs- may be they are better prepared.

OK. Voted. is the motherboard you spoke of given out in a drawing? Nevermind. I just saw where they have prizes for voters. I need to build a new desktop so that would make a nice start

One question before I vote, what's the Green HDD for? If it's for a secondary drive you need a regular drive If it's for backups then you still need an additional regular secondary drive

THIS ...is an interesting thread. I have an ASUS G55V series laptop ...specs below in sig. It's a reliable performer ...very quiet, fast and portable of course... It's my main workstation. I'm taking it in to have a pro clean up all the unnecessary factory stuff...remove all "dead weight" ... other than that ... it is a solid machine. Thanks Heavens I've not had to use customer service....

I have Western Digital Green as secondary (actually- primary) hard drive because C drive is SSD and only has programs. The D drive has everything else- all personal data. I do not feel any difference of it being green. I heard- it would sleep differently- I dont know- acts like a regular drive.

Hey there! According to my estimations, I am still holding up in top 10 with your help, but it getting tough! We have very good chance to be presented to the judges. It will bring attention of the computer industry to the computer music production and help them realize that PCs are not only used for gaming. Please, help me to make it to the top 10 and have a chance to be reviewed by the industry. Thank you for your continuous support! Please, vote for my build here: http://www.asus.com/micro...motion/Build.aspx?p=38

Hey guys! Not being so successful- we are down to #13 today. I am still in need of your votes! Oh, and also- vote for my new friend. His build is very artistic. And he is been very supportive- enough to look up my music and contact me via e-mail to tell me that he really likes it and posting the link on other forums to get me more votes. I appreciate the friendship. You, guys, are awesome. We have great community, and we will make major manufacturers to recognize our needs! To vote for me, please, go here: http://www.asus.com/microsite/2013/MB/gold_rush_promotion/Build.aspx?p=38to vote for talented and supportive person and see the best modified custom build, please, go here: http://www.asus.com/microsite/2013/MB/gold_rush_promotion/Build.aspx?p=2 (We allowed 3 votes per day, so you can vote for both of us).
