Sonar can't find Dim Pro after clean install

Upgraded to Windows 7. Reloaded Sonar. Reloaded Dim Pro. Did VST Scan. Sonar can't find Dim Pro. Any thoughts out there? Thx, NASAMIke

    Try running Sonar as admin

    Look in Program Files cakewalk VST and make sure it is there!

    I haven't checked to links above, but a good way to get Dim Pro working properly is to run it Stand Alone and As Administrator.

    If this doesn't work, you'll need to do a bit of editing in the Windows Registry to remove all traces of DP and re-install

    Running as admin made some progress. I am able to see and insert Dim Pro from soft synths. However, tracks of Dim Pro in pre-existing projects don't seem to recognize that they are Dim Pro (i.e. I click on the Soft Synth icon in the track info and Dim Pro doesn't come up. thx

    Did you update DimPro? Version 1.2 is DXi format, Version 1.5 is VST format, to SONAR those are different plug-ins.

    I have deleted all instances of Dim Pro. The documentation says that the full Dim Pro 1.5 installer is included in the X1 Producer. I don't see it. Do I need to re-install Sonar X1 Producer in order to get Dim Pro 1.5? Thx, MJF

    DimPro uses a separate installer. If you are downloading the files, in the X1 Producer download link, the DimPro installer is 04_Dimension_Pro_1_5_Setup.exe and the expansion pack is 04_Dimension_Pro_1.5_Expansion_Packs.zip. If you are installing from DVD, I believe it is a separate disk.

    Did you remove it from the Registry?

    This article tells you exactly how to do it

    Thx for the reply. Yes I removed all instances from the Regedit. I don't see the Dim Pro in the X1 download link. I just have 02_SONAR_X1_Producer.part1 and 2_SONAR_X1_Producer.part2.rar I just tried reinstalling Dim 1.2, Dim 1.2 patch, then Dim 1.5 patch from Knowledge Base with no joy. MJF

    I just noticed in my downloads list where the Dim Pro 1.5 is located with X1. I'll try deleting everything again and reloading that. Thx MJF

    Yes, that should work.

    But make sure you install it AS ADMINISTRATOR and run it stand alone to authorize it before attempting to load it in Sonar.

    I did all that but unfortunately it didn't work. I can see the Dimension Pro when I select Insert/Soft Synth and I get the Insert Soft Synth Options but when I select OK I get "Failed to insert soft synth. The synth may not be properly installed." Not sure what to do from here. Thoughts anyone? MJF
