Sonar controls VS-700C but not the other way around

Hi,  I have been having this issue for some time now and haven't had the time to trouble shoot it.  At least since I upgraded to X2.

The VS-700C will respond to input from sonar X3 but not the other way around.  As the levels are changed via the mouse in Sonar the faders move, but won't respond when the faders are moved on the 700C.  The transport, records/edit, project and some access panel functions work as they should.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  FYI:  I am a long time Sonar VS-700 user and have tried all of the possible settings within Sonar and have the latest drivers and firmware.

Thanks for your help.

Just to confirm you have the latest controller drivers from the Roland site, and not the Cakewalk site? And X3D.

    Cheers..

I have the most updated drivers from the Cakewalk site.  I will checkout the Roland drivers.  Thanks

Make sure you have installed all the latest firmware upgrade on your console. Also try to remove and add the vs700c to control surface again and choose console for both midi in and out in control surface setting.

Thanks.  Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.....  I just reinstalled the drivers again and went through entire readme installation that comes with the Roland drivers.  That didn't help.  Same issue.  I am wondering if it has to do with the connection between the console and the I/O's but then again why does it respond to computer inputs but not the other way around.  This is driving me nuts.
