Tried to quote you but Firefox would not allow it. Anyway once you have the new midi track and the envelopes created you will need to make sure that read automation is turned on for the new midi track. If the new envelopes are not fighting with parameter data from the original midi track this should work.

just tried.. 3 MIDI track each has its own synth parameter envelope.  all their output to the synth.

2 MIDI tracks envelope(synth's parameters) that I choose from under the NRPN, does not works at all.

1 MIDI track that is seperated from instrument track did works at first (I could directly choose under edit filter  other than NRPN does which I did to 2 MIDI track)  but i don't know just selected other track and back again, it does not read automation anymore.

with MIDI and Audio track  [R] button on and off, I checked all the possiblity, it does not works anymore....

Thnx but I'd rather expect it more convenient in the next update or upgrade.

I just play around with this and I can get some parameters to respond to the envelope...but not all. I was using B4 organ vst I was able to automate the organ draw bars... see them move and hear the sound change. I tried to use the volume and swell nrpn but neither would respond. I think that B4 is ignoring these and possible others. Anyway it definitely does work on some of the parameters. I would suggest that you keep trying different parameters and see if some will respond and not others or perhaps try an experiment with a different synth.

But you can't even see which existing parameters you've automated without going through all the submenus in the Edit Filter...
I was simply answering your question, "don't you guys find the Edit Filter menu to usually be too big" - my answer is still not really.

The parameters have to be displayed somewhere, it's usually quite easy to find the one you want
Ok. It just realized while discussing what my real gripe with the Edit Filter was. :)

Thanks for your reply, and I'm glad you're happy with it!

What X1 needs is an edit filter for the edit filter maybe?

I still think that the biggest faux pas of the 'new' envelope system is that there is no pop-up on mouseover of the ghosted data. Once/if that is ever implemented switching on busy automation will be much easier.
