Sonar doesn't load- solved, but...

 

This is what I saw today when I started Sonar Platinum. Got a shock when I went to the forum for help and saw the news from Cakewalk. (Hope everybody there lands on their feet...)
I solved the immediate problem myself (phew) by rolling back to an earlier version in CCC, but now I am worried about this: what if CCC is not available in the future? Should I be saving program files in a secure location? Am I able to save program files?
