    (let me finish...) Sonar doesn't recognize the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth that is part of my sound card.  How can I get Sonar to recognize this synth?

    (let me finish...) Sonar doesn't recognize the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth that is part of my sound card.  How can I get Sonar to recognize this synth?

    Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth  shows in options MIDI devices as output but not input for me and I can't get sound out. Is that the same for you?

    The MS GS Wavetable SW Synth is only a synth to output to.  So it shows up only in the output section of midi devices.  That's normal.

    You need to select it as an output in Midi devices and then set the output of a midi track to be MS GS Wave.....
