Sonar help: copied Sound On Sound clip doesn't play back all events ?????

Hello, I'm new to Sonar Artist and have been doing great but I just came across a very odd behavior.

I have a simple clip that I recorded using Sound On Sound:  first pass was the hi-hat, second pass was the bass and snare.

The original clip sounds fine, but when I copy this clip and paste it into the next measure, I only hear the hi-hat.

The two clips look identical in Piano Roll, and I can see the bass and snare events in both clips.  But in the second pasted clip, I hear only the hi-hat.

Can someone please help me understand what I'm doing wrong?  I even tried Locking the Data in the first clip, but I still don't hear the bass and snare in the clip copy. :(

Thanks for your help!
Jim

hmm... based on your description (or one part of it) this should NOT be it but just for the sake of checking it out...

1) Save As so you can return to the original project if you want

2) Break open the "Take Lanes" on the original MIDI track (you'll see the individual clips for all the drum elements your recorded)

3) Select all the clips in all the take lanes (and unlock any clips you have locked)

4) Right click on one of the clips and select "Bounce to Clips" (this will combine all the clips into a single clip)

5) Drag that newly created clip into the desired track

What I'm thinking MAY have happened is you copied the parent track into the new track and somehow it only selected the hi hat clip.

Of course if you SEE the notes of the other parts that would not make sense but you may be seeing something other than what is actually going on.

Give it a go and let us know if it worked.

THANKS!  That did the trick. :-)  I had to lasso around the original Sound On Sound clip(s) and then Bounce To Clips.  Then when I copied THAT clip, I got everything. :-)

Thanks again!
