Sonar in general: the play bar disapears if out of range in the screen

Hi guys. I am new to this community and may be in totally in an wrong place. But , I installed Sonar and everything works just fine except that playing bar (a very thin bar moves toward right while you are playing/recording something) would disappear beyond the screen and the screen does not refresh by itself. How can I follow this bar automatically so that I would know where Sonar is playing? Thanks!
