Sonar keeps resetting my Instrument Assignments

Can anyone tell me why Sonar 3 keeps resetting my Instrument Assignment even when I check the box that says save changes for next session.

At first it used to work, then it stopped working. I go through the trouble of importing my Instrument definitions and when i restart cakewalk to work on a new project later, all the changes i made are gone. it's reverts back to the way it was before.


Also, can anyone tell me why Cakewalk sonar 3 doesn't recognize sonic synth 2 after upgrading to 2.1? I know it's standalone vst now but, I have upgraded to cakewalk 3.1.1 which also upgraded the vst adapter so why isn't it recognizing it. I just don't get. this is all so very frustrating.
