Sonar not opening with Windows 10

I can't seem to open Sonar Platinum on my new Windows 10 machine. I have tried installing it and re-installing it. The opening screen appears and then nothing happens for a long time. The blue wheel keeps rotating. If we click on the screen then the message appears - Sonarplt.exe is not responding. After that if you try to start it again, nothing happens. I see that the sonarplt.exe file is open in the processes if I open my task manager and there, it refuses to stop even if I click 'End' or 'End Process Tree.'
 
I have a focusrite scarlett 6i6 sound card. I tried a fresh install of sonar even after disconnecting the sound card and removing the drivers. I am at a loss. Can anybody help?

    Try running as Administrator. 
    Right click the Sonar icon and then select Run as Administrator.  See if that helps.
