Sonar supports OGG?!? (according to SOS)

Just reading the amazing review in Dec SOS....

BUT...I have never been able to import OGG files into sonar...even though SOS claims that it works

Sonar 7 supports a range of new audio file formats, both for import and export, including AIFF, CAF, FLAC, Ogg and Sony Wave-64.

ummm....when I select "IMPORT>AUDIO" I don't see my ogg files until I type *.* as the filename....and then Sonar crashes!!

anyone else have ogg-ing issues?

I always rather wanted Sonar to support ogg files. No royalties and good sound, even though it is a lossy codec. I'd also be interested to hear if Sonar 7 can import/export ogg files. I have Sonar 5 and I believe some rather arcane techniques are required to export ogg files. I've taken to exporting waves and using OggDrop to make my lossy versions of songs.

These are, as far as I can tell, mistakes in the article.

    Don't worry about it.

    Hi:
From the Sonar 7 Help file:
"The File-Import-Audio command supports the following digital audio file types:

    Wave (extension .wav)
MPEG (extensions .mpeg, .mpg, .mp2, and .mp3)
Apple AIFF (extensions .aif and .aiff)
    Active Streaming (extension .asf)
    Next/Sun (extensions .au and .snd)".

    Greetings.

That could explain why I'm having problems with Reason all of a sudden.
