Sonar won't Snap To

I know this is a really simple thing but it's driving me crazy for the past hour. I can't get notes to "Snap to" location based on musical time (or anything really). You know how you're in Piano roll, and you're moving a note around and you need it to "snap" to the next 1/4 beat timing.. My note won't stick or snap to anything even when I enable the Snap to option in the snap module HELP PLEASE thank yoy

In X1, Snap To Grid is on the Control Bar. Is that where you're setting it?

Yes, the Modules are on the Control Bar. I managed to "fix it" by upgrading to Sonar X1 d patch

Just for future reference you need to check your magnetic snap settings in Preferences-->Customization-->Snap & Nudge.

For maximum snap you need to make sure magnetic strength is off. Don't ask...

This is annoying.  Seems the default "magnetic strength" is low (i.e. barely noticeable).  I never would've guessed that "off" = "maximum".  Things that make you go, "hmmm..."
