Sonar x for PA use. Why not?

Is there any reason Sonar could not be used as a PA?  Of course, you would have to have a multi-input interface, maybe a Tascam US1800.

What are the pitfalls?  Is it feasible?  Practical?  Foolish?

Anyone tried it?

Thanks....

    Especially with a Tascam.

Talk about things that could go wrong at a gig. I prefer good reliable equipment when facing a crowd of drunks.

the most i've ever gotten away with live is six-in/six-out into a mixing console.  multiple mics running through fx processors and a couple of people playing midi over about 8 channels - while recording.
