Sonar x2 install disables firewire driver

I have a newly built pc thats stable as anything with Ableton live 9 64 bit and native instuments konplete 8 and maschine installed all functioning well. I decided to install my sonar x2. the install all goes ahead as normal with rapture etc. then it starts sonar. sonar performs a test of the soundcard at which point it moves on and says the deice is already in use and disables the firewire driver within the focusrite mixer software. at that point i dont know how to get the firewire driver back. i did a restore to an earlier point but i never had this type of issue before and now not sure what to do to get sonar installed.

The firewire driver under device driver looks ok and says enabled but clearly not.

i am in win8 64 bit with 16gb ram on 4.4ghz pc with focusrite sapphire pro 40 and octopre dynamic.

ableton was not running at the time or any other daw.

regards in advance.

Which driver mode are you using? If ASIO, do you have only Focusrite selected in SONARs record/playback and I/O drivers? ASIO drivers can only use one
soundcard at a time.  Or do you have a USB-mic in use as well? Just guessing...sort of.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

OK ALL SOLVED THAT WAS THE ISSUE. THE AT2020 USB REMOVED THAT AND MY WEBCAM AND INSTALL SUCCEEDED WITH FIREWIRE DISABLED.
