Sonar/Reason keyboard problem, help!!!

When I use reason through rewire, as it is booting up a notice comes up saying that the MIDI imput is beeing used by another program, and it won't respond at all when Reason is in the front of the screen.  I use Sonar 8.3.  Any ideas?

    Make sure reason midi track is highlighted in sonar :)

    Also make sure you have a device in reason and you are not selecting the transport device in the the left hand portion of the sequencing window in reason as this stops midi going to the other devices unless you have routed the midi via other means.
