Song from a past life...Three Long Years

How easy it is for time to get behind you. Things you do and the people you get to play with..........

Hope you enjoy this song. Lewis is a good vocalist and a killer guitar player and been my best friend for ever. We have played the juke joints and a few up town places...lol

    Billy,

I like this one. Its got a great slow jazz/blues funk groove played really loose. Great feel. The singing and guitar are first rate. Good stuff.

    Hi Billy,

    Nice work on this dood

I'm assuming you took this into a pro studio, because it's sounding pretty good in my cans.

Like you say, lead guitar and vocals are pretty damn good too

Great laid back and solid groove, the arrangement sounds good, the vocals and harmonies are on, and the guitar leads are really really cool (a bit Scott Henderson-ish).    The mix sounds very good here - clear, detailed, and a good sense of space.   I'm not sure there's anything I would change!

    Thanks guys,
Thanks for all the kind feed back. I am really lucky to get to play with musicians who can run circles around me. Lewis is a monster guitar player. In fact I just got off the phone with him about five min. ago. He is my go to guy when I have some arcane theory question, and my best friend.

    Glad you enjoyed the tune.

    Cheers,

    Billy

Laid back groove, nicely put together. Very Boz Skaggs or maybe Christopher Cross, some of my favorites. I wanted to reach for the slider on that fretless bass and turn it way, waaay up.

Guitars are totally together, nice shimmery acoustic panned wide especially.

    like it!

    cheers,
    -Tom
