Songs recorded in Sonar Platinum

Hi All, I've been mostly a lurker on the forums these past few years gleaning tips from the forum regulars on recording techniques and troubleshooting issues in Sonar. Thought this might be the appropriate place to place a link to stuff I've been recording in Sonar over the past year or so.

I'm getting better but still pretty much a novice at recording with lots of gaping knoweledge holes. I tend to do most things intuitively without really understanding why.   Lots to learn in the area of eq'ing, compression etc. etc.

I've been impressed with all the great music you guys have been posting here. Keep up the good work!

Cheers!

I love your (home grown?) one-page website design. Nice photos. Very tasteful. :)

    And your music is impressive!

"Cycle of Life" is right up my alley: a jazzy/funky/ambient fusion with hints of Pat Metheny in your lead guitar work. Loved it.

Listened to several more half-songs. Well mixed & produced, fantastic guitar playing. Smooth backing tracks. Artistic.

So, what is "Foul Weather Bluff"? Is that a band you regularly perform with? Or is it just another name for "Glen Holt's music"?

    Thanks for sharing.

Hey Glen! You're doing a fine job! Don't pay too much attention to the pros. You already sound great.

Very nice stuff Glen, and that looks like a very cool studio space to work in.

I'd say your intuitiveness is spot on and recordings/mixes are very clean/clear to go with very good performances. Keep up the good work and keep posting your music.....enjoyed listening to it all.

You can also post your music here http://beyondcakewalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=3 .....a place to hang out if/when this place shuts down.
