Mark Knopfler - Hill Farmer's Blues

Going into Tow Law for what I need
Chain for the ripsaw, killer for the weed
Dog's at the back door, leave him be
Don't feed him Jack, don't wait up for me

Going into Tow Law to fuel my fire
Shells for the twelve and razor wire
Dog's at the back door, leave him be
Don't do Jack, don't wait up for me

So bad, so bad So bad, so bad

I'm going into Tow Law to have my fun
Don't get me wrong, you were the only one
Behind my back Lord, you made a fool of me
Don't do Jack, don't wait up for me

So bad, so bad So bad,
so bad So bad, so bad

You know how the south came to be called Dixieland? It was the slang for a ten printed in NOLA. French for "ten".

Did anyone else think of "Theme from Shaft"?

    Me, neither.  (Shut your mouth!)

I meant, Back in Black.  No, I'm very tired, right now.  I meant, Iron Man.  No, not really, but I was thinking of For Whom the Bell Tolls.  That reminded me of Tollhouse cookies, though, which, of course, made me think of Breakin' the Law.  Except, the cookie thing reminded me of Sugar Sugar.

Wait!  No, it didn't!  I'm really very tired.  I meant, Born to be Wild.  Yeah, that's it.  Born Free.  That's what I said.  What?  I'm so tired.  Somebody called out Freebird!, but I fell asleep during the slow part.  Dreamweaver.  That was pretty good, too.

Huh?  Whose writing this stuff?  I mean't War Pigs.  I get those two confused all the time.  I'm so very, very tired.

Archie Fisher is awesome, one of those relatively unknown treasures. He's also the bloke who taught Bert Jansch to play guitar.
