Songs with an extremely long length?

Hi - I have a few projects (using Sonar 7 Producer) that have, audio data going up until 4 or 5  minutes, but the timeline keeps moving long after the song has ended (for 400+ empty bars or something like that). Is this a bug, or can this be fixed? I do not have any stray MIDI data at the end of the song, I've checked.

I do have some projects that do stop properly at the end of the last audio clip.

have you set the begining and end points?
you should set the begining and ends by first..select edit/all.
then put the cursor on the point of the song start..but give it a little bit more.
then go to edit again select/from here.
do the end the same way only choose edit select/to here..
youll see..there are little arrows pointing to begining and end.

It sounds like you need to enable the "stop at end of project option" I am not sure where this is in Sonar 7. Page 80 of the 8.5 reference guide says.

    Stop at Project End option
The Stop at Project End global option determines whether or not playback is allowed beyond the
last event in a project. This option is enabled by default.

This should at least give you enough information to search the version 7 documentation. The setting is Global in V8.5 so it would apply to all projects?? May be it was per project in version 7??

I think Glyn has probably nailed it - though you do need to check if there are ANY events, way out there in the distance, not just MIDI notes.

    Track Envelope nodes
Bus Envelope nodes (these have caught me out a few times)
    Tempo changes
    Meter/Key changes

Here's a clue. With the transport stopped, where do you go when you press Control + End?
