Sonic Reality Infinety Player - Miroslav Samples

Someone posted over on the NI forums that Sonic Reality have Infinity Player versions of Miroslav. I know most (all?) of their Kapsules are the Sampletank stuff formatted for Kontakt player, via the Infinity player license, but I can't recall seeing any of the Miroslav stuff. I dont see any alternatives apart from Reason. Is this guy mistaken?

The Kontakt orchestral kapsules are the Miroslav samples broken up into several products. Based on Squids responses back when they were first released, it would appear that some sort of licensing agreement kept them from using the name Miroslav on those products. Some of the kapsules have the advantage that they have keyswitch patches (something that Sampletank sorely lacks).

    That's good to know...

The Miroslav sounds are really nice...
So if you could use them in Kontakt and they were "uncolored"
that would be another nail in the coffin of IK for me...

    I use Miroslav...I love the strings...even though it's still 32 bit...

I've been ranting, and will stick to my guns, that I have no intention of
investing any more money in IK products...their development cycle is
far too lengthy to make them viable any more...and they're frenzied
iThingy cycle is like 10 minutes..compared to, on average, about
    4 years for the PC.

But the products I own, which is just about everything,  I will use....as long as I can...I spent the money and I'll get the most
    I can out of them...

I'm doing a Country Ballad right now...and I'm using the Miroslav Solo Violin on it...sounds really nice..

    +1 cclarry

Those are about my sentiments as I also have almost every IK library & synth. I'll continue to use ST as there are still some very useful sounds.

For strings though, Kirk Hunter's Diamond collection is my go to.....ther're just out of the box ready and not much tweaking involved. Just amazing.

    Mesh,

I wish I could afford the KH Strings...

I'm just making due with what I have...

I have the Dimension HD String Freebie (not very good)

Miroslav, which I love but is STUCK in 32 bit land and I refuse
to upgrade it when IK FINALLY, if EVER, releases ST 3.
I have East West Symphonic Orchestra Silver also, which
is STILL the NI Version...LOL  I tried to upgrade to the Play version
and East West totally screwed the order up and tried to change it
to Gold...I paid $49.50 for the upgrade to Silver Play Edition, and a day
later got an Email saying "Sorry we cannot charge your credit card for the
    $197.50 for Gold"

I said WHAT?  I only ordered the upgrade to SILVER PLAY which is why I ALREADY PAID YOU
    $49.50!!!

Never got an apology or anything...but I did get my money back...
No more buying from them either...if they can't say sorry or make it right for
messing up my order then I'm done with them also...which is a shame because
    they have some great things...

    Hi guys
Thought I'd just share what I've done which has allowed me to keep using things like Sampletank and I actually also have really Old versions of East West with Kontakt / Kompact or whatever they used to call it!
When I upgraded my old 32 bit system to 64 bit, I kept the old machine, put it on my network and linked the old and new machines together with Vienna Pro which a is a fabulous piece of software.
All the old 32 bit stuff runs physically on the old machine but appears in the new machine, if you see what I mean.
Now I can use all my old 32 bit stuff in my new 64 bit machine with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever - been running this set up for about 18 months now and it is sweet.

Miroslav is pretty good (especially if you layer them and use the tone control or tone boost fx), but it does need some "massaging'  to get the desired outcome.

I got lucky with KH strings when they had a group buy last year (?) and got it for $75. Quality-wise, these are top notch.

I'm not sure if the current GB is offering anything good.....I'm not even looking as I'm slowly saving to get a new 64 bit machine.

    Nigel,

Vienna Ensemble Pro is a great piece of gear, as are all the Vienna Libraries..out of my reach though...as I'm only
    a casual Orchestra user....

All my products are working fine on Win 8...only my IK Apps won't work in Stand Alone...they work fine as VSTi's in a host..

even being 32 bit....I have no issues...

so there is Miroslav samples for Kontact somewhere?

I bought the IK total bundle 3 just for the Miroslav orch stuff, pretty much only thing I use but in 32 bit and a hastle sometimes to use in the current format on a 64bit machine.

is there a link to this Kontact stuff?  I might consider buying it if it's cheap enough to get it into Kontact and throw this IK stuff in the corner.

No worries, It was curiosity as much as anything. If eSoundz have these Kapsuls in a sale some time I may pick some up.

A big +1 for Kirk Hunter. I got Diamond, Concert Brass and Pop and Rock Strings in various group buys.

The Kirk Hunter stuff in Magix (was Yellowtools) Independence Instruments Symphonic Orchestra (99 Euros)  is a great way to get the Kirk Hunter sound, albeit a lite version, at less cost. (its also in Indepndence Pro)

If you already have Miroslav, there really is no point in re-purchasing the same samples for Kontakt. They sound exactly the same. (Yeh, I got suckered into buying the Infinite Player versions.) And you won't get everything from Miroslav, just selected patches.

The only benefit is that you'll be running 64-bit Kontakt, which means you can load up more patches at once. But remember that one of the great advantages of Miroslav is that the libraries aren't very big, so you can easily load 16 Miroslav libraries even in 32-bit land.

I'd also add that some of the built-in effects in SampleTank are better than their Kontakt equivalents, reverb in particular. I run Miroslav within SampleTank and often mix 'n match Miro patches with ST patches.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

hmmmmm okie dokie.  maybe too much trouble then.

I just keep hammering away with what I have.

someday I will have to buy one of the other packages for more articulations better sample ranges, and key switches.

    .
I have Miroslav CE, the cut down version and was wondering if the Kapsuls were the full version, if so I may have bought them if there was a sale. It seems likley that if they are selected patches they will match the CE patches.

I will check the patch lists before buying.

No - that is just the bonus pack. It has been on sale for Sampletank too. I might pick this up because its only $10 and I know it does not duplicate anything I already have.

As i understand it these are the strings http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4614, the Woodwind http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4616., the Brass http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4613 and Percussion http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4615

The Choirs are missing which fuels my suspicion, following Bitflipper's revelation above that these equate to the CE version.

Glyn, the Choirs are quite good and very easy to use (IIRC)....it's been a while since I've used them..... I have the full version of Miroslav and I believe each of those Sonic Reality libraries are the full versions, just each section has been individually packaged for Kontakt.
You can confirm this with Esoundz customer service by shooting them an email. I can't recall his name (Alan??), but he's extremely helpful, efficient, and replies almost immediately.
